Scientists from Oxford researched intellectual faculties of fish with help of special underwater stripe with barriers. Specialists were much surprised when Mexican blind grotto fish solved all problems just in several hours. Fish noted all modifications that scientists made to cheat it and found the right decision quickly.
Fish remembered what it learned even after several months. Scientists found that their experimental could solve complex intellectual problems. These problems were not solved by other animals like hamsters and dogs.
"There is a stable opinion that fish is very foolish and cannot remember something more than few minutes," - says doctor Teresa Bert de Perera - "But we managed to dispel this prejudice. We found that fish is talented for learning, have a nice memory and have a sequence of mental skills."
