Painting "Scream" by Edward Munk most probably burnt
Stolen from Oslo museum in August of last year one of the world famous masterpieces - painting of Edward Munk "Scream" - was destroyed.
As largest European editorial of art informed, painting "Scream" and stolen at the same moment another work of Munk "Madonna" were burnt.
This conclusion was made by experts of famous Belgian company "Kodin", which specializes on security of works of art. Secret "Kodin`s" report about stolen paintings of Edward Munk was given to Norwegian police recently.
Painted in 1893 "Scream" was considered one of the best creations of expressionism. Price of painting can not be estimated.
On August 22, 2004, "Scream" and "Madonna" were stolen by strangers from Munk`s museum in Norwegian capital Oslo. Immediately all departments of state police, of Europe and World police afterwards, were involved in search of masterpiece. But they didn`t succeed in investigation.
Meanwhile, according to confidential information, the head of largest European criminal group David Toska, arrested in Spanish town Malaga in April of current year, confessed in organization of theft in Munk`s museum. But he said that doesn`t know where paintings are.
