Shell has suspended drilling in the East of Ukraine for protection of personnel
British-Dutch oil company Royal Dutch Shell has suspended drilling operations in the Yuzovsky field in the East of Ukraine in connection with the fighting in this part of the country, said the Agency's financial Director Simon Henry (Simon Henry).
" Shell took time out on exploration work after drilling of 2 wells, " said Henry. Originally planned that the Company will drill fifteen wells at the 1st stage of works.

Speaking in Kiev on Tuesday, Yatsenyuk admitted that foreign investors in the current circumstances it is difficult to implement oil and gas projects in the East of Ukraine. Yuzovsky the shale field, employing Shell, is located on the border of Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
