Kiev is preparing a complaint to the IAEA on nuclear object in Crimea
Kiev wants to appeal to the IAEA in connection with the fact that a nuclear facility in Simferopol, and became part of Russia according to the results of the referendum, is not controlled by the Ukrainian government, informs on the first day of the week, the Agency referring to the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko.
" We are preparing a proper complaint with the IAEA to address a country that unauthorized captured this object with special status, " He said. in Crimea is the Sevastopol national University of nuclear energy and industry (Snunei). The University trains experts for nuclear energy and industry, electrical power systems, experts on protection of natural factors, energy saving and computer technologies. According to Amano, in Crimea there are a small number of low-enriched uranium, but no highly enriched uranium. He said that now is not the time for us to send inspectors. The head of the organization also noted that the responsibility for ensuring the maximum possible level of external security of nuclear facilities are the Ukrainian authorities.
