Possibility of civil war in Iraq
General secretary of Arabic Government League Amr Musa warns about possibility of civil war in Iraq.
"The situation is extremely strained, civil war can begin at any moment", - he said in his interview to BBC.
"We cannot leave Iraq in state of split, disagreements, conflicts and violence which destroy the country", - he pointed out.
Announcement of Amr Musa was before the arrival of League delegation under leadership of his assistant Ahmed ben Hilli to Iraq. The purpose of this mission is to prepare conference of national reconciliation in this country. Supposedly that during its 4-day visit officials will meet with representatives of all Iraq political parties.
It is not clear if conference can be held before or after planned on October 15 referendum about Iraq constitution project which is an apple of discord between Shiites and Kurds from one side and Sunnites from another side.
The purpose of forum is to stop disagreements between Iraq ethnic and confessional fractions.
