Ex-Soviet political prisoners congratulated Hodorkovsky with Happy New Year
"When all you can see is prison`s fence for many years, even traditional greeting "Happy New Year" gets a figurative sense. We understand that and still remember", - was said in the message.
Ex-political prisoners have emphasized that circumstances of Hodorkovsky`s conviction have got into all monitorings of outgoing year - and "political Russia didn`t have such disturbing final documents for a long time". Historians will remember year of 2005 for Mechansky administration of justice and Krasnokamensky imprisonment", - consider the authors of the message.
"Authorities treated you in emphatic manner, but publicity didn`t impart even shadow of legitimacy to reprisals. Everyone, who had an opportunity to learn materials of your criminal case, understands that verdict to Hodorkovsky was illegal, ungrounded and politically motivated", - was said in the message.
"In Krasnokamensk (place of Hodorkovsky`s imprisonment) you will celebrate New Year 6 hours earlier than in Moscow. And it is not so bad - to live 6 hours ahead of Kremlin and General Office of Prosecutor. Because you will become free also 6 hours earlier".
New Year greetings to Hodorkovsky were signed by Vladimir Bukovsky, Sergey Kovalev, Grigory Pasko, Alexander Nikitin, Gleb Yakunin, Yulii Rybakov, Elena Bonner, Boris Vail and others.
