Chagin on "KamAZ" won 4-th stage of "Dakar-2006" rally
Russian Vladimir Chagin, driving on "KamAZ", has won 4-th stage of "Dakar-2006" rally this Tuesday. This was informed in telephone conversation by organizers of competitions.
"KamAZ" of Chagin overcame the stage Er Rachidia - Ouarzazate with total length of 639 km for 04:57:09.
Second was Dutch Gans Stacey on "MAN" with result 04:59:51 (00:02:42 behind from leader).
The third place took "KamAZ" of Firdaus Kabirov with result 05:14:19 (00:17:10 behind).
"KamAZ" of Sergey Reshetnikov was on 4-th place with time 05:26:14 (00:29:05 behind).
After 4 stages of super marathon "Lissabon-Dakar-2006" the leadership still belongs to Russian crew of Vladimir Chagin on lorry "KamAZ" with result 11:35:30.
On January 4 the next stage Ouarzazate - Tan Tan will take place. Total length of this stage, which is held on territory of Morocco kingdom, is 819 km (with 350 km being the special route).
Rally "Dakar-2006" consists of 15 stages. Total length of the route is 9043 km with 4813 km being speed parts. The rally will finish on January 15 in Dakar (Senegal).
