Petr Todorovsky receives order "For services before Motherland"
The film director Petr Todorovsky has been awarded the order "For services before Motherland". The corresponding decree signed President Vladimir Putin.
The decree says, that Todorovsky has beed awarded with this honorable order for "outstanding contribution into domestic cinematography development and many year creative activity".
80 year-old Todorovsky directed over 20 films, among which the most famous pictures: "City romance", "The beloved woman of mechanic Gavrilov", "Down the main street with an orchestra", "Anchor, one more Anchor".
He got Venetian film festival prize for his first film, and in 1984 his picture "Military-field romance" received the general prize at All-union film festival.
In 2005 Todorovsky became the laureate of independent prize for highest achievements in arts and literature. The solemn ceremony of order presentation is to be held on January 23, 2006, in Pushkin?s Fine Art Museum.
