None of pilgrims from Kazan hurt in Mecca
None of 594 Muslims, who headed on Hajj to Mecca from Kazan, were hurt during collapse of hotel in the town center.
"As the leader of the group in Mecca, the pro-rector of Russian Islamic University Suleiman-hazrat said in telephone conversation, the Kazan pilgrims lived in another building and were not hurt. All of them are safe", - informed the worker of "Idel-hajj" department under Religious Administration of Muslims (RAM) in Tatarstan Liliya Gasimova. The words of the group leader were supported by wife of mufti, chairman of republican RAM Iskhakova Guzel-khanum. At present moment mufti Gusman hazrat is on the way from Medina to Mecca.
As a result of hotel collapse in Mecca at least 23 people died. About 60 got injuries. By words of representatives of local authorities, the majority of victims are Arabs from Egypt, Tunis, United Arab Emirates. At present moment rescue works are conducted at place of incident.
