Alcohol drinking to be allowed on ISS
Soon cosmonauts will be allowed to drink alcohol on the board of International Space Station.
This possibility is advocated by Russian experts, who made apropriate suggestion to foreign colleagues. In their opinion, use of alcohol favorably influences the recovery of organism after intensive work.
Earlier there was a ban on alcohol on orbital station "Mir". It lasted until station drowned. USA prohibited alcohol drinks only during flight. Since mutual expeditions to ISS had started, prohibition on alcohol was introduced.
NASA advocates absolute prohibition of alcohol on board of space station, but cosmonauts in space have got a portion of chocolate with liqueur for Christmas. This testifies about gradual repeal of current ban.
