The Duma passed the law regulating the issues of sport in the Crimea and Sevastopol
The state Duma adopted in the 2nd and 3rd readings of the Law, which regulates the issues of physical culture and sports in Crimea and Sevastopol, and establishes measures of social support for Champions and prize winners of the Olympic and Paralympic games, living in the new subjects of the Russian Federation.
According to the document, the regional public organization of the Crimea and Sevastopol are required to undergo the procedure of state registration in accordance with the Russian legislation. Only then will decide the question of their membership of the all-Russian sports federations and their state accreditation.
The law also stipulates that Sports titles, categories, qualification category sports judges assigned in accordance with the laws of Ukraine residents of the Crimea and Sevastopol, are equal to Russian in the order established by the Ministry of sports.
Sports titles " Honoured master of sports of Ukraine ", " Honoured coach of Ukraine, assigned in accordance with the laws of Ukraine persons, non-stop living in the area of Crimea and Sevastopol to their adoption into the Russian Federation, are equal respectively to the honorary sports titles " the Condemned master of sports of Russia ", " Honored coach of Russia ".
in addition, the Law aims at regulating the issues of social support of Champions and prize winners of the Olympic games, Paralympic games, Deaflympic games, world, European Championships and other international sports competitions, part of the national teams of Ukraine for sports and recognized by residents of the Russian Federation.
This norm will entail the payment of presidential scholarships to the winners of different competitions that were part of the different national teams of Ukraine and were recognized as citizens of the Russian Federation.
Member of the Department of the state Duma for physical culture, sports and youth Affairs, co-author of the document Vasily Shestakov ( United Russia ) said that for the second reading the draft law made provision for the financing of sports national teams of the Crimea and Sevastopol.
" for example, separately prescribed that from the funds of the state budget allocated to the Ministry of sports, can be paid for equipment, travel, meals and accommodation of new regions of the Russian Federation in the period of holding all-Russian sport competitions ", - told reporters the people's choice.
" I think, it is needless to say about the fact that during the stay of the Crimea from Ukraine the situation with the support of sport on the Peninsula was very poor. Now everything will be different. When the Crimean teams will participate in the national Championships, for example, in Siberia, they can count on the support of the country when purchasing airline tickets and so on ", - noticed Shestakov.
