Plushchenko may miss European Figure skating Championship
After Russian Figure Skating Championship the leader of Russian team caught an acute cold, he hasn`t recovered from yet.
The figure skater`s coach Aleksei Mishin said that final decision on the championship in Lyon participation hadn?t been made yet. In case of Plushchenko`s refusal his place in the team will be most likely taken by Alexander Uspensky, who took fourth place on Russian Championship. He together with Mikhail Magerovski and Sergei Voronov has gone to France as a national team reserve.
At the same time, Russian Figure Skating Federation doesn?t assume the case that Plushchenko will not take part in Lyon Championship. On Monday President of Russian Figure Skating Federation Valentin Piseyev said, that all the team leaders would participate in the Championship, including Eugeny Plushchenko, who on January 17 must arrive to Lyon.
According to the schedule placed on the official web-site, men are to present short program on January 20.
