New director general of TV channel "Culture" Tatiana Paukhova
Tatiana Paukhova has been assigned the director general of the TV channel "Culture", reports the channel press-service.
The well-informed source from the channel said that on Tuesday the order was signed about assigning Pukhova to the post of general director beginning from January 17, 2006. The source also noted, that the question of the editor in chief vacancy has not been solved yet.
Paukhova is to change Alexander Ponomarev, who was staying at this post for over four years. On December 29, 2005 he was assigned the director general of the TV channel "TVC" instead of resigned Oleg Poptsov. From January 1 to January 16 Vyacheslav Mostovoi was in charge for the channel.
Tatiana Paukhova was the TV channel "Culture" editor in chief for over 7 years. "In the present situation Paukhova`s assignment has become a reasonable and appropriate decision. Tatiana has worked on the channel from the very beginning, and has done for it a lot. She is intelligent, wonderfuland perspective leader ", said the channel official.
