26 degrees temperature fall during 9 hours in Novosibirsk
On Friday in Novosibirsk the temperature has fallen by 26 degrees during 9 hours, informed the press-secretary of Novosibisk Meteorolgy Service Rinat Yagudin.
According to his words, temperature has fallen from - 5C to - 31C.
`Frost has invaded the region at high speed`, said Yagudin. `Invasion energy was extremely high, such a phenomenon is very rare. I can recollect few such cases in my 40 year working experience`, noted the meteorologist.
According to him, abrupt temperature fall is connected with arctic frost spread, which has covered many regions of Russia.
`In the atmosphere such a situation has developed, that arctic cold spreads simultaneously practically to all regions of Russia`, said the expert. `No such phenomena have occurred for a long time`, he added.
At that, in Moscow region and on the south of the Siberia similar situation has developed: two powerful cyclones have been formed, which intake cold arctic air, informed Yagudin.
On the nearest days frost strengthening is expected in Novosibirsk region to - 40C, in other West Siberian regions meteorologists expect even lower temperature. In Toms region - 50 C is expected.
