Calculating Chamber to examine gas treaty with Ukraine
Russian Calculating Chamber and Ukrainian Control agency will carry out a mutual examination of the treaty executed between "Gazprom" and "Ukrainian Naftogas" about purchase and transportation of gas. This was announced by the head of Russian Calculating Chamber Sergey Stepashin.
"We will learn the situation in order to avoid serious judicial consequences for our companies ("Gazprom" and "Naftogas")", - said Stepashin.
He noted that mutual examination will take place after election to Ukrainian parliament in March.
RosUkrEnergo with authorized capital stock of $35 thousands is registered in Swiss canton Zug in 2004. The company is owned by Arosgas, daughter enterprise of Gazprombank, and Centrogas, branch of Raiffeisen Investment AG.
In 2005 "Gazprom" let RosUkrEnergo to supply Turkmen gas to Ukraine. For transit services the firm got 12.7 milliards cubic meters of gas. The total income of first quarter of 2005 amounted to $370 millions. On January 4, 2006 "Gazprom" and "Ukrainian Naftogas" signed the treaty, according to which Ukraine will buy all import gas from RosUkrEnergo.
