Charitable concert for cancer children to be held in Moscow
Charitable concert for children sick of cancer will be held in Big hall of Moscow conservatoire on Sunday.
Violinist Gidon Kremer, vibraphonist Andrei Pushkarev and pianist Katya Skanavi will perform program "After Bach", which contains musical compositions of Bach, Gendel, Busoni and Piccolo.
"Funds from contest will be shared between 4 children, - said coordinator of group "Donors to children" Ekaterina Chistyakova. - Tanya Kaverznova needs lots of money ($150 thousands) for radiation treatment abroad, Hetag Kadiev needs 15 thousands euro for search of marrow donor, Asya Mukhtarova needs 20 flasks of medicine $600 a piece, and 2-year old Gera Dubrovin needs 10 flasks of the same medicine".
"This is a large sum of money. I am afraid that even concert will not help to collect the necessary amount. But it will be a small step in right direction", - added Chistyakova.
The organizers of the concert are Moscow State Academic philharmonic, "Mercy addresses" fund, Federal center of children hematology, oncology and immunology, "Donors to children" group.
