Novorossiysk sea commercial port becomes strategic
On February 1, 2006 Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree N68 about including JSC "Novorossiysk sea commercial port" into the list of strategic enterprises and JS companies.
The information about it have appeared on President`s official web-site. Novorossiysk sea commercial port is the biggest port on the Black Sea. The port constitutes of a terminal on processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals, containers, paper, chemical fertilizers and grain; a terminal on processing raw sugar, a specialized terminal on processing cement and scrap metal.
Besides, Novorossiysk sea commercial port includes "Shekharis", the largest plant on oil and oil products transfer, servicing over 60% sea export of Russian oil.
The main share holders of JSC "Novorossiysk sea commercial port" are the government - 20%, structures of "URALSIB" - 33,07%, Investsberbank - 34,46% shares.
