Totmianina and Marinin lead after short program
Russian figure-skaters lead in competition of sport pairs. Tatyana Totmianina and Maxim Marinin are on the first place after performance of short program. Another Russian pair Maria Petrova and Aleksey Tikhonov are on third position. Chinese Dan Zhang and Hao Zhang took up position between Russian pairs.
Totmianina and Marinin have won World championship for 2 times and European championship for 5 times. They skated the short program to the accompaniment of music composed by George Svirodov. They made no mistakes and demonstrated outstanding synchronism, beautiful triple loop jump and have proven their claims for Olympic gold medals. Tatyana and Maxim have got highest marks for technical skill and performance (artistry) - 68.64 points.
Chinese pair is 3.92 points behind and Maria Petrova/Aleksey Tikhnov lose 4.32 points to leaders. Many experts consider that Totmianina and Marinin are almost undefeated with demonstrated level of figure-skating.
Another Russian pair - Yulia Obertas and Roman Slavnov are on 8-th position at the moment.
