Guatemala asks for help
The downpours caused by the hurricane Stan damaged Guatemala for 700 mln dollars.
As the vice-president informed rebuilding of destroyed areas will cost 310,8 mln dollars. Besides, the damage in agriculture amounts 388,6 mln dollars. The government of Guatemala appealed to the USA for help. They asked about 21,5 mln dollars.
The hurricane also damaged other countries of Central America and Mexico.
According to the information in Guatemala 652 people died, several hundreds got lost. More than 130 people died in Salvador, Nicaragua, Mexico and Gonduras.
