Difficulties with gas supplies have led to switching-off of hot water in Kiev
1st Deputy head of the city administration of Kiev (KCSA) Igor Nikonov explained the lack of hot water in many homes in the Ukrainian capital of a complicated situation with gas supplies from Russia.
No hot water in more than half of residential houses in the Ukrainian capital. Kyiv authorities revealed that the number of houses, disconnected from hot water will increase, because Kiev is obliged to reduce the costs a certain number of gas for stable during the heating season. According to Nikonov, because of the difficult situation with heat supply to Kyiv currently loses 1, 3 million cubic meters of gas per day. He explained that Kiev must consume about 2 million cubic meters per day, while today the figure is only 700 thousand cubic meters.
" 1st Deputy head of the Kyiv city state administration has also warned that in case of the extremely difficult situation with heat supply, the government can reduce the basic design temperature in houses where there are people from 18 to 16 degrees.
