Georgia brought 100 servicemen into Tskhinvali region
Georgia has brought 100 servicemen into territory of Georgian-Osetin conflict zone within the frames of peace-making forces rotation.
As press-service of Georgian Ministry of Defense explains, peace-makers are placed in headquarters of Georgian peace-making battalion in Eredvi village. At the same time Georgian side negotiates with Tskhinval administration about transfer of peace-making forces to Georgian villages of Liakhvsk canyon.
According to agreements between conflict sides, number of peace-makers in conflict zone can not exceed 500 people for every contingent (Georgian, Russian, North Osetin, South Osetin). There used to be 200 Georgian servicemen before bringing of additional contingent in the zone of Georgian-Osetin conflict.
The day before Georgian premier-minister, head of Coordination center on Georgian-Osetin regulation Zurab Nogaideli declared that Georgian side unilaterally starts realization of peace plan in conflict zone. Among top-priority goals Tbilisi called demilitarization process of conflict zone. Therefore, Georgian side will withdraw military police of Georgian Ministry of Defense from Tskhinval region and will bring policemen from local citizens and officials of regional Georgian police instead of them.
Full list of Georgian peace-makers in conflict zone will be handed to military observers of OSCE.
