Archaeological expedition in the Tula region the place Mamaev battle 1380 found new artifacts. Including the finds there are components of weapons and ornaments.
Archaeological research unit was conducted on the area of 30 hectares in the Museum-reserve "the Kulikovo Field", the place where in 1380 were the fiercest conflicts of the troops of Dmitry Donskoy and Mamaia. The Museum staff reported that the first object discovered by archaeologists was the tip of the throwing spears-spears, was later found an arrowhead. In addition, searchers found the plate brigandine armor and plate with Mongolian pattern tells ITAR-TASS.
Just a month into the study found 26 weapons. From the number of detected components meet harness and ornaments. A particularly significant finding is the Horde waist strap heraldic type. Some of them were seen in the XIX century, the first archaeologists Kulikov field.
Leading among the main findings is ancient silver saber discovered on the site of the bout in 2011. Among the exhibits on display in the Museum there are spears, spears, arrows, pectoral crosses, horse bridle and even musical instruments.
