Berezovsky transferred $21 millions to Ukraine
To support "democratic institutes in Ukraine" Boris Berezovsky transferred 21 millions of dollars before December of 2004.
This was announced by members of parliament committee. They introduced protocol of conversation with Berezovsky in London and copies of his financial transfers to Ukraine on sum of 6 millions of dollars. Earlier it was announced about transfer of other 15 millions of dollars.
Berezovsky admitted that ex-minister of Ukrainian Emergency Control Ministry David Gvania addressed to him with suggestion to support democratic institutions in Ukraine long before presidential elections. Berezovsky doesn`t know which way money were spent because he trusted Victor Yushenko and Gvania. He also noticed in conversation with delegates of Supreme Rada that he didn`t finance election campaign and did everything within the bounds of law.
He informed that instructions about payments were issued from ex-assistant of Ukrainian president Aleksandr Treryakov and Gvanii who named on account of which companies money should be transferred.
It is stated in committee report that Berezovsky agreed to answer all questions of Ukrainian authorities but prefer to do this in Kiev if "Ukrainian parliament or Ukrainian law machinery guarantee his security in Ukraine and his return to London".
