Putin laid flowers to monument of victims of events of 1956 in Budapest
Vladimir Putin laid flowers to the monument to the victims of the events of 1956 the "Flame of revolution", locating on Kossuth square in front of the House of Parliament in Budapest.
The head of the Hungarian government Ferenc Dyurchan participated in the ceremony together with him.
Monolith from the black granite was established in 1996 on the initiative of former President Arpad Gentz. The eternal light burns at the apex of monument. Each autumn Kossuth square becomes one of the central places of taking measures on occasion of the anniversary of the events of 1956.
