Putin discussed collaboration in atomic power engineering with premier of India
The President of Russia Vladimir Putin discussed questions of bilateral cooperation in atomic power engineering and the problem of non-proliferation in the telephone conversation with the prime minister of India Manmohan Singh.
As the press-service of the Kremlin reported, the telephone conversation of Putin with the Indian premier took place on Saturday on the initiative of Indian side.
"Putin and Singh discussed the process of agreements fulfillment achieved within the framework of Russian- Indian summit in Moscow December 2005. Real advance on the basic directions of commercial and economic collaboration was noted with satisfaction.
The preliminary sums of this work is planned to bring at the forthcoming in the middle of March meeting of heads of government of two countries in India" is said in the report of press- service of the Kremlin.
"Questions of the collaboration of Russia and India in the sphere of peaceful atomic power engineering and problems of nuclear non-proliferation, including taking into account Russian- Iranian negotiations in this region were also touched upon in the conversation" it is noted in the document.
