Goat museum to open in Tver
The chairman of Heraldic commission over Tver oblast Vladimir Lavrenov informed that museum of goat will open in Tver.
The initiative belongs to people and not to state. "There are several museums in Russia connected with town symbols. Tambov is famous for museum of Tambov wolf, Myshkin town - for museums of mice and valenki. History of Tver is closely connected with a goat and citizens decided to memorize this animal", - said Lavrenov.
The museum will be opened in the building of Tver State University in 2006. At present moment students investigate the origin of "goat" symbol and collect first exhibits. "All exhibits collected in museum will be connected with a goat: photographs, statues, documents and even animal scarecrow. The main exhibit will be a large mirror with a curtain. For symbolic payment every visitor will see "the main goat of Tver" in it", - said Lavrenov.
