Ukraine due to recovery has reduced the transit of gas to the Balkans


Ukraine has reduced the daily volume of natural gas transit pipelines Balkan routes 71% or 36 million cubic meters due to scheduled maintenance and rehabilitation works, the press service of " Ukrtransgas ".

Work commenced on 19 August on gas pipelines " Yelets-Kremenchuk-Kryvyi Rih " and " Ananiev-Tiraspol-Izmail. To finish a full complex of works and re-start transit in full is expected before August 22, according to a report of a subsidiary of Naftogaz for the supply, transportation and storage of natural gas.

After long and fruitless negotiations with Russian Gazprom on June 16, translated " Naftogaz " to advance, and now in the Ukrainian gas transport system are only transit volumes destined for Europe.

The Ukrainian Parliament before blesed law, which will give an opportunity to attract investors from the U.S. and EU for the modernization of the Ukrainian GTS. The document stipulates that the operator will be entitled to management and/or concession or lease " main gas pipelines and underground storage facilities. In addition, the law allows the government of Ukraine to make a separate operator's underground gas storage facilities, in which American and European investors will also be able to get up to 49%.
