The European Union is ready to provide Ukraine with a billion dollars for the purchase of gas
European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said on Thursday, 23 October, EU leaders that the Commission may in the near future to provide a maximum of $1 billion to help Kiev to Finance the purchase of gas from Russia. These tools are able to be provided in the short term, but this amount will not be sufficient to cover operational and budgetary needs of Ukraine.
