In Kremlin Cup semi-final Dementeva lost to Scyavone
Elena Dementeva is not a finalist of Kremlin Cup. In semi-final she lost to Italian Francesca Scyavone with score 3:6, 1:6.
On Moscow tournament Scyavone won the third tournament racket Ameli Moresmo during second stage and in 1/4 of final didn`t leave any chances to Russian Svetlana Kuznetcova.
Dementeva started the game aggressively winning servings of Italian sportswoman but Scyavone managed to win first game. Scyavone didn`t lose her advantage winning first set 6:3. During second set Italian led with score 4:0 and only after that Russian tennis player won the only game.
"I understand that I disappointed Russian fans but I really wanted to win. I concentrated on every draw and it seemed to me that my rival was in the dumps, - said Scyavone after game. - I wanted to feel support from audience. And today only one 6-year old boy supported me. It looks like he is my devoted fan in Moscow."
In final Francesca Scyavone will play with winner of the couple Dinara Safina (Russia) - Mary Piers (France).
