The Parliament of Ukraine reassigned Stepan Poltorak the head of the Ministry of defence
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine upon recommendation of the President of Petro Poroshenko reassigned Stepan Poltorak to the post of defense Minister.
Relevant draft resolution was supported by 347 people's representatives with the required minimum of 226 votes.
Colonel-General Poltorak from October of the current year was appointed head of the Ministry of defense, replacing Ministerial positions Valeria Galatea. Before this Poltorak was the commander of the internal troops of the MIA of Ukraine, and after their reformation commander of the national guard under.
According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the Director shall submit to Parliament for approval of the candidacy of the Minister of foreign Affairs and Minister of defense. Other members of the Cabinet are appointed on the recommendation of the Premier.
