German sculptor is popular because of sculptures with big penis
In Moscow in the gallery "Rigina" the German sculptor and artist Jonathan Meezer opened an exhibition "Doctor Dracula".
Before that Meezer has already impressed inhabitants of Berlin and Hamburg.
The exhibition "Doctor Dracula" includes bronze sculptures and paintings showing the image of Dracula - the leader of vampires.
"Doctor Dracula" is the first personal project of Meezer in Moscow. As the website Museums of Russia informs he is very popular in society. His popularity can be explained by his extraordinary works and his independence to break a taboo.
As it is known three Russians wanted to buy some of his sculptures and canvases.
The exhibition has been popular with women. The point is that his works introduce the images of supernatural creatures with giant, thick, 1meter length phalluses.
The most extraordinary exhibit is 500kgm bronze sculpture "Propagandist". The sculpture shows devil who has the sack of money in his right hand. As Meezer explains the statue personifies the modern oligarch. But instead of usual attributes as wings and horns, the devil has several huge phalluses.
In addition to all that the oligarch has six testicles. It shows prolificacy of modern oligarchs. For instance Boris Berezovsky has 6 children, Roman Abramovich - 5, Michail Hodorkovsky - 4.
As Jonathan informed a Russian rich man wanted to buy "Propagandist". The cost of it is 500 thousand euros.
Meezer worked on different topics: modern pop-culture, questions of history, mythology. In his works you can see the elements of war, violence, historic personalities like Nero, Hitler, Stalin.
