The EU wishes to investigate cases of theft of financial aid to Ukraine
The head of the European Department for the battle against fraud Giovanni Kessler said about the prospects of the creation in Ukraine of the office, which will investigate fraud with funds allocated to it by the European Union. About this Kessler said in an interview to the Ukrainian edition.
according to him, At this point in time this Idea is developed at the project level, but this week has the opportunity to be decided at the European level.
"The idea is to make the shared - EU-Ukraine - body investigations, which will focus on the investigation of fraud and bribery with money of the European Union to Ukraine," said Kessler.
according to him, a specialized Bureau will work in close cooperation with the anti-Corruption Bureau and the police of Ukraine.
"because the EU is a unique cash assistance to Ukraine, it must be exceptional efforts to protect these finances as well and with the help of investigations," said Kessler.
