Roman Karmazin has to corroborate his title in January
The first defense of his title world champion by IBF version in weight 69 kg Roman Karmazin will have most likely on 7 January of 2006 in US.
As Karmazin who now is in Moscow informed, at the beginning of November he would go oversea to sign the fighting contract with his promoter Don King.
The American defined date of his tournament together with TV channel Showtime, which direction was interested in the fight with Karmazin. King gave a list of some of his boxers to the channel including Roman.
two champions are considered to be rivals of Karamzin - Mexican Alehandro Garcia (WBA version) and Puerto-Rican Daniel Santos (WBO version). Russian boxer specified that this fight would not be semi-final of uniting tournament of four world champions by all four versions in that weight. "That tournament was cancelled, - Karamzin informed. - It caused by some troubles on organization of the fight with Nicaraguan Ricardo Mayorgi (WBC version)".
Karamzin himself prefers to meet with Garcia. Experts consider he is the weakest among four champions. But Santos wishes to fight with him too. Santos considered being the best in this category.
"However, I am ready to fight with Santos, too, - Karamzin says. - From the first announcement about uniting tournament I supposed to meet with him. I know his manner quite well. I am not afraid that he called the best in that weight; I know how to work against him. Few people saw Garcia in fights, but for some reason he is called the weakest among champions."
Nevertheless one of most important reason while signing a contract would be a fee. "I want to earn much money, I think that a fight with Santoc would be the most advantageous."
