In the Federation Council want to understand the grounds on which parliamentarians include in European sanctions lists.
"the overwhelming number of Residents (Russia) support the political views of those who fell under punishment in connection with the events in Ukraine," said Senator Igor Chernyshev, speaking at the plenary meeting of the Council when obgovarivaya resolution on Ukraine.
He made the initiative to prepare a request of the Council of Federation of the European Commission: "what is required to make the citizen of the Russian Federation, to fall under the punishment?". In response, the speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko jokingly suggested to the European Union request from the Federation Council to include Chernysheva to the sanctions list.
"Let's get this list to any who asked, I think, a couple of million Russian citizens will want to get there," said Matvienko.
