Police made the decision to help Romania to unfreeze the conflict in Transnistria
The head of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said at a mutual press conference with Romanian President Werner Iohannis voted for the "reintegration" of Transnistria is part of Moldova, reports Ukrainian news.
According to Poroshenko, Ukraine and Romania came to an agreement on coordination of actions on Transnistria to " help unfreezing of conflict and contribute to a sovereign and independent Moldova to restore its territorial integrity and to reintegrate the Transnistrian region ".
Transnistria, 60% of the inhabitants are Russians and Ukrainians, sought to secede from Moldova even before the destruction of the USSR, fearing that the wave of nationalism Moldova joining Romania. In 1992, after failed attempts by the authorities of Moldova force to solve the problem, Transnistria was in fact beyond the control of the Chisinau area.
