| I just by chance stumbled on this performance on YouTube and was overwhelmed. I'm from the US. No doubt, a few years ago I might have viewed this, smiled thinking it a cool performance, but then would have moved on. But the past few years in my country really make me appreciate and leave me envious (in a good way). The group in this video are commemorating a rough time in Russian history. Not only was the war going on, but Stalin wasn't exactly a teddy bear. Nonetheless, this song celebrates a nation and a people that remained strong, defiant and -- unlike many in the current US -- proud of their country, warts and all.
