Biography Eugö?ne Boudin (Boudin Eugne)
(1824-1898)
Creativity Budena is a link between the art of his teachers - representatives of the Barbizon school (Truayona, Millet, Corot and Theodore Rousseau) and his followers by Impressionists, among which are primarily Monet.
Boudin was born July 12, 1824 in Honfleur, the old port town in Normandy. He studied painting in Le Havre, then in Paris at the famous marine painter Eugö?ne Isabey. Most of his life Boudin lived in northern France, visiting Belgium, Holland, Italy.

Early work Budena are vivid scenes of fashionable resort of life, performed in the Impressionist manner. Later works - mostly seascapes without images of people. In landscapes with views of harbors he managed to convey the state of the sky, anxiety before the storm, or a clear and clean, the sea in them are written in broad strokes and filled with lots of different ships with a complicated rig. Although the artist did not consider himself the Impressionists, he participated in the first Impressionist exhibition, held in 1874.

Recognition came to him when he was already terminally ill. In 1892, Boudin was awarded the Order of the Legion of Honor. Boudin died in Deauville on Aug. 8, 1898.
