Alexander Kaidanovsky born July 23, 1946 in Rostov-na-Donu. After graduating from the 8 classes of secondary schools, from the Dnepropetrovsk welding College name B. Paton. Kaidanovsky debut in film was held in the second year schools - in the film "Mysterious Wall" (1967) he played a cameo role of a young researcher. This was followed by roles in films: "Anna Karenina" (1967, Jules Lando), "First Love" (1968).
After graduating college in 1969, Kaidanovskii hit the troupe Vakhtangov. Invitation to play there was no accident - the young actor touted for the role of Prince Myshkin in The Idiot. But play it he never had occasion. As it turned out, created the role of the famous actor Nikolai Gritsenko, nobody was going to give it, and hardly knowing that any student yesterday, claiming it did all in its power to prevent this from happening. They say that even the patient Gritsenko bedridden and went to the theater - just not to give the role to another. I had to Kaidanovsky play the role of "Bon appetit". This lasted until 1972.
A. In those days, nobody believed in Kaidanovsky. Mikhail Ulyanov even advised him to return back to the Rostov and try to arrange their own destiny there. But the young actor went his own way - in 1973 he joined the army.

The place of his service has become a cavalry regiment at Mosfilm. That's when he played his first starring role - Lieutenant Lemke in the picture N. Mikhalkov's "Among Strangers, a stranger among his.
Life Kaidanovsky evolved under the laws of artistic environment. Among the women, whom he loved, were mostly actresses: first Valentine Malyavina, then Evgenia Simonova. In marriage, with the last of his daughter Zoe was born.
By the end of the 70's Kaidanovskii was already sufficiently well-known actor of the Soviet cinema. He has had roles in films: "Diamonds for the dictatorship of the proletariat", "Missing Expedition" (both - 1975), "Golden River" (1976), etc.
In 1980, screens the film came out of the country A. Tarkovsky's "Stalker" with A. Kaidanovskii in the title role.
In the early 80's Kaidanovskii entered the Advanced Directing Courses to A. Tarkovsky. But their union did not last long: Soon the filmmaker ever left their homeland. When he sent to Moscow Kaidanovsky invitation to play in a "Nostalgia", the actor for him was not released.

. Somewhere in the middle of 1995 in his life began to occur, changes. He finally issued a warrant for a new apartment in Sivtsev Vrazhek. He received his own course on scriptwriting faculty of fighting positions, preparing for the shooting in the French film "The ascent to the Earhart". Finally, in October Kaidanovskii married 23-year-old Inna Pivars, with whom he had known for about two years. But fate played a trick on him. By shifting the two heart attacks, Kaidanovsky third and did not survive - the morning of 3 December, he died.
