Vyakhirev Rem Ivanovich

Born in 1934 in the village of Great Chernigovka Kuibyshev region.
He graduated from the Kuibyshev Industrial Institute in 1956, specializing in the development of oil and gas fields ". Candidate of technical sciences, laureate of USSR State Prize.
About 15 years working on the fields of Kuibyshev region.
In 1970 he headed the gas production department in 1976 - Production Association "Orenburggazodobycha".
From 1978 to 1983 he worked as the chief engineer of the All-Union PO Orenburggazprom ".
In 1983 he was appointed Deputy Minister of Gas Industry of the USSR.
Since 1989 - Deputy Minister of Gas Industry of the USSR.
Since 1992 - Chairman of Gazprom.
May 30, 2001 Mr. Chairman of the Board for the post of Gazprom Alexei Miller was appointed.
