(1579-1666) - Duke of Brunswick-Lц?neburg, a cousin of the previous. The seventh son of Henry, Duke of Brunswick-Lц?neburg-Dannenbergskogo, and Ursula of Saxe-Lauenburg-Engernskoy. He was born in Dannenberg. In 1594-99 he. studied in Rostock and Tuebingen, received a deep and broad education. Based in g. Hittsakere, devoted himself to scientific pursuits and literary work and later became known under the pseudonym of Gustavus Selenus, t. e. August Lц?neburg.
In 1616, Mr.. in Leipzig, he published his book "Das Schach-oder Kunigsspiel" ( "Chess, or the game of kings"), but part of it is devoted to direct-Nye practice game of chess, is the only translation of the works Rui Lopes.
