Biography DODIN Lev Abramovich
Lev Dodin Abramovich was born on May 14, 1944 in Novokuznetsk, Kemerovo region. In 1966 he graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of Theater, Music and Cinematography in the class of Professor BV Area. Director's career started in Leningrad in the mid 60-ies: worked in TYuZe in Drama and Comedy. The Small Drama Theater - since 1975, was a director, chief director, since 1990 - Artistic Director. Placed them in 1980 on the stage play "House" after Abramov's got all-union reputation. Widely known for his productions - "Brothers and Sisters," "Lord of the Flies", "Stars in the morning sky," "The Possessed". Theater is part of the Union of Theaters of Europe.
Professor. People's Artist of Russia. Winner of State Prizes of USSR and Russia. The first of the figures in the Russian theater awarded behalf of Laurence Olivier (UK). Award "Triumph" (1992).
