I was born in Leningrad (now St. Petersburg) 17 January 1954. I was five years old when I left without parents. My aunt, Valentina took me to an orphanage, which was located in the village Sheinovo Vologda region, where I spent two years. Then, when I was eight years old, I was sent to a boarding school in the city Ustyuzhna. In the nine years I have tried to write the first verse. It was then held my first acquaintance with a. A. Akhmatova. I was returning from lunch in the dormitory, which was located on the opposite side. Crossing the road, I saw lists of the magazine, which were scattered along the roadside. Lifted one sheet. Since he looked at me a beautiful woman. I read the inscription under the photo - Anna Akhmatova, more poems were published. I picked up the remaining sheets. They were from the magazine "Youth" for 1960. Poems of Akhmatova struck me. I read and reread it "Leningrad cycle". In library school, I became acquainted with her biography and works. In the study of the poet at the door at a small table sat a plump gray-haired woman. It something recorded in a large notebook. Our guide said: Take, this is Anna Akhmatova. - But the woman continued to write on anybody not paying attention. I looked at her and could not imagine that this tired, plump woman, and there Akhmatova. All gone, and I stayed and continued to look at Akhmatova. Obviously noticing that someone was staring at her, she lifted her head and asked me: - You what, girl! - I'm just confused and could that tonyusenko squeaked: - I also write poetry. - At that Akhmatova replied: - Write to a girl, write! - And then came our class lady took me to a group.
