Autobiographical notes

For 15 years (1972-1987) worked in the technique of black gouache on paper and mixed media (gouache and collage on paper). In 1987. completely switched to oil.


Criticism

Ashot Hasratyan - one of the few artists that are genetically related to the tradition of postwar abstract expressionism. And in this case we are talking about the evolution of living ekpressionistskoy tradition, rather than postmodern imitation or emulation of such masters as Mark Rothko, Arshile Gorky and Nicolas de Stael.
