Autobiographical notes
I love fantasy art. And over the years more and more feel, how often it is close to the truth in its most incredible climax. If I try to name a few names - not only a favorite - they are many and they are all different - and those whose view of the world opens up that is so close to me - this will Hoffmann, Gogol, Maeterlinck. . Life is a creative personality - "the adventure novel about the adventures of the soul among life. . Art - a riddle, which explains the wisdom of life, but which itself can never be solved, because the secret lies in its basis . And the eternal desire to approach it - the greatest pleasure and the greatest torment of the artist.
Criticism
The desire for harmony and the impossibility of spiritual comfort in the world, constantly shaken apocalyptic anxiety, pain and joy of creation - those themes constantly worried Bulgakov. In the picturesque metaphors of the artist can often see the impact of icons ... The system of silhouettes, as if "absorbing" each other, flat forms of treatment, local color zone-casting - all gave the impression of internal dependencies, the unity of the figures. At the same time, flickering lines, the complex intertwining of hands, the fragility of children's feet leave the weightless feeling of anxiety, a sense of human vulnerability in the face of unknown danger ...
