Criticism
Yuri Salnikov - one of the few contemporary artists working in the field of religious art. His works are often arranged in long rows of the serial, where the main role played by paint and signs, biblical and evangelical symbols - crosses, crucifixes, haloes, silhouettes of figures of angels, etc.. While living in Baku, constantly communicating with the artists and art of Azerbaijan, Salnikov synthesized in his work, many features characteristic of the national school. His works are generally expressive, full of color and transmit the spiritual power which allows him to talk about the religious nature of his art.
