Biography Askar Akaev Akaevich
Born November 10, 1944 in the village of Kyzyl-Bayrak Kemin district of the Kirghiz SSR.
1961. - With the "gold" medal graduated from high school.
1967. - Graduated with honors from the Leningrad Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics and enrolled in graduate school.
1971. - Completed training in graduate school.
1976. - Finished doctorate. Masters and doctoral dissertation defended on "Theoretical basis and calculation methods of holographic systems, storage and transformation of digital information."
1972 - 1988 i.i. - Works at the Frunze Polytechnic Institute of positions: engineer, assistant professor, senior lecturer, associate professor, head of the department.
1984. - Elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, in the same year became Academician of the Kirghiz SSR.
1987. - Elected vice-president, and a year later - the president of the Academy of Sciences.
1990. - October 27, at an extraordinary session of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev elected President of the Republic. In October of 1991 (elections) and in January 1994 (the referendum), the president's powers were confirmed
1995. - 24 December re-elected president, Askar Akayev, Kyrgyzstan's second term. He expressed the confidence of more than 70 percent of voters in elections.
Askar Akayev - Member of the New York Academy of Sciences. In 1995 he was awarded the highest prize of the International Fund "Unity". In 1996 he was elected an honorary member of the Kyrgyz branch of the International Academy of Sciences of Education, Industry and Arts (USA, California).
. The eldest son of Askar Akayev - Aidar - married to the youngest daughter of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev . Young people got married in summer 1998. Currently, the newlyweds live in the U.S.. Aidar Akayev - a student at the University of Maryland
