Biography Winkler, Alexander Adolfovich
Born in 1865. He graduated from Kharkov University, Faculty of Law (1887). Music education received at the Kharkov Music College of the Imperial Russian Musical Society, and then at Leshetitsky and Navratilya. Consists of a teacher of piano playing in St. Petersburg. Conservatory. His works: Sonata for piano and viola or violin, three string quartets, string quintet, piano quartet, Variations and Fugue on a theme IV-C. Bach for 2 pianos 4 hands, 6 pieces in 2 hands, "Dramatic Overture" for large orchestra, overture-fantasy "in Brittany (in Breton themes). Works Winkler showed excellent technical ability, but do not reveal striking individuality
