Biography Vysokovich Vladimir Konstantinovich
(1854 - 1912). He graduated from the Medical Faculty of Kharkov, and immediately went to the Caucasus theater of war with Turkey. After serving 3 years of military doctor, . defended his doctoral dissertation: "The disease of the blood vessels in syphilis" and then sent abroad, . which has produced outstanding work: "On acute endocarditis (in Horta) and" On the fate of microorganisms injected into the blood (y Flyugge), . Returning to Kharkov, facilitated the Bacteriological Institute of the Kharkov Medical Society. Since 1889, Mr.. was a professor of pathological anatomy at the University of Kiev. Here he founded anatomopathological organized by the Pasteur Institute and the Department of Bacteriological Institute. After a secondment to India in 1897. headed by a Russian expedition to study the plague Vysokovich emerged as the most competent epidemiologist, to the experience which has repeatedly invoked the Russian government with the appearance within the empire of plague and cholera.
