Biography KUKHARENKO Yakov Gerasimov
He was educated in Kharkiv and here became acquainted with NI. Kostomarov: was in friendship with T.G. Shevchenko. A descendant of Cossacks, KUKHARENKO served in the Black Sea coast, was Major General. In 1862, Mr.. KUKHARENKO Abadzekh was captured and died in captivity. From KUKHARENKO articles published in the "basis", two - "Plastun" and "Vivtsi and shepherds in the Black Sea coast - are ethnographic in nature. In the operetta, "The Black Sea beaten" KUKHARENKO described the life of the Kuban Cossacks in the late XVIII century. Operetta this was altered and adapted to the stage Staritskiy in 1878, entitled "Black Sea", with music Lysenko, she still kept on Little Russian stage.
