Biography Gavriil Lomakin Ioakimovich
(1812 - 1885). Musical development is due mainly to himself. He put forward the exemplary performance Sheremetyev choir, a regent and a teacher which he was. For classes with choirboys, he was their own and vocalize solfege and published several manuals, including "A brief method of singing for an initial general theory of numbers and notes" (St. Petersburg, 1862). Popular in his time were his songs (over 60). Consisting of the court choir teacher, he has made known to the dignity of four-voice arrangement of one-year terms of church singing. In 1862, Mr.. Lomakin, together with MA. Balakirev founded the Free School of Music, the choir which he conducted until 1870. From the church's own writings Lomakina one written in the mixed, conventional church style with the influence of Bortniansky, Turchaninova, others - in the strict style, more or less exposed for.
